A personal, self-hosted project

Bosun

Bosun is a private household assistant being developed to bring family calendars, voice commands, home automation, and room announcements together.

Google Calendar integration

Bosun connects to Google Calendar with the account holder’s permission. It uses authorized calendar information to display upcoming events on a household calendar screen and answer questions about appointments. If calendar editing is enabled and authorized, it can also carry out requested event changes.

Google’s authorization screen shows the permissions requested. Bosun does not need your Google password. Access can be revoked through your Google Account.

Built for one household

Bosun is a personal project for its owner and invited household members. It is not a public calendar service. Its core services run on infrastructure controlled by the owner. Optional cloud AI providers may be consulted when explicitly requested.
